Laser diode drivers
IXYS Corporation produces drivers for high power laser diodes either pulsed or quasi-CW mode, with pulse widths of 6ns to 10mS, and peak currents from 1A to 200A.
Applications include... laser range finders, laser speed detectors, LIDAR, imaging and driving diode pumped solid-state lasers.
New Product -PCX-7451 225A Quasi-CW Laser Diode
Driver
The PCX-7451 is an air-cooled, high power pulsed current source designed to drive laser diodes, bars and arrays. It delivers current pulses variable from 20A to 225A. Selectable pulse widths can vary from 15μS to 5mS, with rise times and fall times of 5μS to 1mS, and pulse repetition frequencies are variable from single shot to 5 KHz with duty cycles limited by total power dissipation. PCX-9000 Series Pulsed/CW Laser Diode Driver
Alrad Electronics have announced the introduction
of the PCX-9000 Series Pulsed/CW laser diode driver from IXYS Corporation a leaderin power semiconductors for power conversion and motion control applications.
Consisting of five distinct instruments, the PCX-9000 Series features an intuitive new user interface designed to make the PCX-9000 Series easy to operate. With up to 600A of pulsed current, the PCX-9000 Series provides one of the most powerful standard current sources commercially available that is designed to drive the highest power diode lasers, bars and arrays. The instrument is air cooled and available in 200A, 400A and 600A configurations with an internal power supply option available for both the 200A and 400A units.
