Questar Surveillance lenses
SZ90 The Questar SZ90 is a Multi-Focal Length Lens
(MFL) that is fully motorized
and microprocessor controlled. It is a very
portable small aperture lens providing
five discrete focal lengths and five
neutral density or spectral filter selections.
The lens is best suited for
video use and is shipped ready to connect directly to
any standard C-mount
type CCD camera. Visual and 35mm-photography use is
also possible under
certain restrictions. With some modification, various special
applications in
tracking and surveillance can be addressed. The Questar SZ90 is
composed of
the new MKIII barrel assembly, MFL multi port housing,
microprocessor
controlled CPU board, hand held controller and a universal A/C
to D/C power supply.
This unit requires 12 VDC to operate.
SZ 180 The Questar Motorized StepZoom 180 is a powerful 8 to 1 variable
focal
length lens with the longest focal length available in an optic of its
size. Fully
motorized with microprocessor control, the lens offers parfocal
selection of five
effective focal lengths, four selectable filters, and a
four line back lit display of
focal length, filter position, focus range, and
operating status. Weatherized
construction is featured throughout, with
protective optical flats at each end
of the lens system. Remote control is
possible at a distance of 4,000 feet from
the hand terminal, PC or other
RS-422 communication source, and the system
is ready for integration with
other related functions such as position and video
control.
Accessories
include an integrated automatic light control filter.

design contributes
to making it the ideal high-magnification field
surveillance lens. The Field Ranger 7
is light, compact and well balanced.
The EFL and aperture give it 2 times the
power and 4 times the light grasp of
its smaller brother, the Field Ranger 3.5.
Its configuration makes it perfect
for use with eyepieces, video, and night vision
equipment.
