Dual resolution contact image sensors

The more common applications are fax machines, copiers and document readers.  The CIS module is the light bar you see moving across the paper inside the copier.  It serves to both illuminate and image the document as it scans past.  However, CIS modulesare now being used in many applications including bar code readers, position sensors and vending machines to name just a few. Resolutionis important in all these applications and with two new sensors you can change resolution on the fly.
CMOS Sensor has produced two image sensors with selectable resolution for use in CIS modules.  The C116 is selectable between 300 and 600 dpi while the C118 is selectable between 200 and 400 dpi.  Now you can double your system resolution at the flip of a switch. These two CIS module families are finding application in the wCIS sensororld of counterfeit detection.
Cheque readers and currency readers are becoming more sophisticated as more anti-counterfeiting measures are employed in the production of both world currencies and cheques.  Equipped with UV, Infrared and visible illumination, these modules are capable of scanning multiple spectra at high speed.

mvHYPERION-CLf - PCI Express frame grabber for FULL CameraLink

The new mvHYERPION-CLf extends MATRIX VISION's PCIe family with a CameraLink frame grabber for FULL CL cameras. mvHyperion-CLf

The PCI Express x4 interface offers the necessary band width for image transfer and makes it possible to operate one CameraLink camera with FULL, MEDIUM or BASE configuration. Here, a data rate up to 1 GB/s is possible.

The mvHYPERION-CLf is suited for a multitude of image acquisition and image processing applications in the fields of science and industry. The frame grabber features two MiniCL connectors for camera control, opto-isolated I/Os (for trigger and flash control) and a camera power supply. Alternatively, it is possible to power the CameraLink cameras via Power over CameraLink (PoCL).

The board sorts the mixed image data of sensors with several taps and outputs them to the main memory linearly.

mvHYPERION-CLm is a further model of the x4 frame grabber. This frame grabber has the same features as the mvHYPERION-CLf with one difference: it is possible to connect either two CameraLink cameras with BASE configuration or one CameraLink camera with MEDIUM configuration.

Drivers for Linux 32/64 bit as well as Windows Vista 32/64 bit are available (mvIMPACT Acquire). Additionally the mvIMPACT Base library is included in the scope of supply.

The Bitflow Bitflow Alta-ANAlta Analogue Frame Grabber

The Alta-AN is an affordable, versatile analog product family for Semiconductor and Industrial Vision OEMs. This family can acquire from almost any analogue cameras on the market, from high speed asynchronous-reset monochrome cameras to super high resolution colour HDTV cameras. The Alta frame grabbers are high-quality, flexible, PCI Express bus imaging products, well supported by an easy-to-use SDK, and drivers for most popular software imaging packages.

There are three main models in the Alta family: Alta-AN1, Alta-AN2 and Alta-AN4. The Alta-AN1 has one Virtual Frame Grabber (VFG) and can support one analogue camera of any type. The Alta-AN2 has two VFGs and support two cameras, and the Alta-AN4 has four VFGs and support four cameras. Each VFG is a completely independent frame grabber. This means that each VFG can be configured for a different camera, different triggering mode, different destination buffer and can be in a different acquisition state than the other VFGs. But most importantly, all of the VFGs on one board can acquire simultaneously, at the cameras full frame rate and resolution. Each Alta model is a half size x4 PCI Express board (supporting total data rate up to 1.0 GB/S. More Info
